"Zumanity" at New York-New York

Zumanity at New York New York presented by Whats On

Everyone always raves about “O” and “Love,” but the dark sheep of the Cirque du Soleil family—“Zumanity”—is easily the best Cirque show on the Strip.

While some of the other Cirque shows take themselves waaayyy too seriously (“Look at us! We’re French acrobats diving into water!”), “Zumanity” is that rare Cirque show that’s not afraid to be a little tongue-in-cheek—but that doesn’t mean its acts are any less impressive.

One act in particular, Dislocation, might be too much for some audience members to watch, but even those who are covering their eyes will have their fingers spread because they can’t look away from the action.

Other outstanding acts during the show include Wassa, Hoops, Waterbowl, Tissus, Main a Main and Dance on TV. Really, the whole production from start to finish is top-notch, and the pre-show entertainment can’t be beat.

While “Mystère’s” lovable clown usher will keep audiences giggling before its show, “Zumanity’s” resident clown sex experts, sexy gigolo and hilarious strawberry-eating sisters really set the tone for the fun that’s in store.

If you were one of the few people who saw “Zumanity” during its preview period, trust me when I say the show has gotten much lighter—and much, much better. In fact, if you were to buy the original “Zumanity” soundtrack, you wouldn’t recognize but a couple of the songs on it—that’s how much the show has changed!

So skip the lines of “Love” and “O” (not to mention save a few bucks) and check out “Zumanity.” Who knew “The Other Side of Cirque Du Soleil” was so much more entertaining?
