Bass Pro Shops decks it's halls for the Holidays

Bass Pro Shops kicked off the holiday season earlier this month with the unveiling of Santa’s Wonderland, a magical village for kids. Now at its stores across the country, you can experience old-time model trains, remotecontrolled cars, a Red Ryder laser arcade, a Nerf soft gun range and craft activity tables—and they’re all free.

“Christmas is a magical time of year for everyone” said Johnny Morris, the founder of Bass Pro Shops. “We want to invite shoppers to bring their kids and grandkids to our very own Santa’s Wonderland and make memories that can last a lifetime.”

Santa will even be in residence beginning Nov. 27. Bass Pro Shops customers can get a free 4” x 6” photograph of their child’s visit with him. Santa’s hours will be Mon.-Fri. from 5-9 p.m., Sat. from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sun. from noon-5 p.m.

If you find you’re in a charitable mood this season, you can also help the community at Bass Pro Shops. Bring a new toy into the store or just buy one there in the kids’ section. Donations will be accepted as part of a gift drive. Plus, you can show your support for the military by participating in the Reelin’ It In for the Troops program, which runs through Dec. 31. Simply contribute $1, $3 or $5 and write a cheerful message to be sent to our men in uniform. Bass Pro Shops will use all of these contributions to support Operation USO Care Package.

One of Las Vegas’ biggest attractions, Bass Pro Shops encompasses two stories and 165,000 square feet of hunting, fishing, hiking, backpacking, camping and outdoor gear. The store is home to a rock climbing wall, indoor archery range, trout stream and 40,000-gallon aquarium stocked with striped bass, catfish and crappie. It may be Santa’s Wonderland for the holidays, but Bass Pro Shops is truly a wonderland all year round! It’s open Mon.-Sat. from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sun. from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. For more information, visit bassproshops.com.
