A nightclub that's always in style

Christian Audigier The Nightclub Treasure Island

Christian Audigier

Christian Audigier The Nightclub opened with a bang inside Treasure Island Fourth of July weekend, and the excitement surrounding the club hasn’t stopped since.

The Pure Management Group venue, formerly the site of Tangerine, has quickly become the place to be seen if you’re anyone in young Hollywood thanks to its namesake, French fashion designer/entrepreneur Christian Audigier (Ed Hardy, Smet). When asked why he ventured into the nightlife industry and why he decided to open up his first nightclub in Las Vegas, Audigier replied, “I believe because the nightclub is a part of my lifestyle, first, and in Las Vegas because it’s the Disneyland for adults. I did my first Ed Hardy party at Tangerine, actually, two years ago, and it was the best party I ever had. When the people proposed to me the club, I said yes right away.”

And it’s a decision he hasn’t come to regret. Everyone from Nicky Hilton and Tara Reid to Macy Gray and professional poker player Chris Ferguson has been spotted inside the sleek new venue, which incorporates some of Audigier’s trademark design elements, like roses, skulls and gleaming crystals. Anchored by a black pebble stone bar with a red mirror bar top that features a one-of-a-kind fire effect, some of the most distinct features of Christian Audigier The Nightclub include vibrant, red velvet-tufted walls, black glass chandeliers, skull-and-rose-encrusted mirrors and black faux-crocodile leather banquettes. Easily the crown jewel of the nightclub, though (besides its signature drink, the Crystal Rock’n Lemonade cocktail, named after Audigier’s daughter, Crystal, and his Crystal Rock clothing line), are a pair of massive jellyfish tanks, which illuminate the space and create a feel of art constantly in motion. Christian Audigier The Nightclub will continue to be one of the hottest places on the Strip Halloween night, as MySpace-queen-turned-MTV-reality-star Tila Tequila hosts a haute Halloween haunt (and celebrates her birthday) with DJ Cyberkid on the turntables.

Given Christian Audigier The Nightclub’s overwhelming success, it’s only natural that Audigier plans on opening a store just steps away from the venue inside Treasure Island to sell his merchandise (“People will want to dress cool [coming to the club], and with my brands you can do that,” he stated). Audigier also recently opened an Ed Hardy store inside the Fashion Show mall, located just across the street from the center-Strip resort. So what’s next for the fashion giant?

“Maybe by next year [I’ll do a fashion line with] Michael Jackson,” he concluded. “And I hope that pretty soon I get offered a big hotel in Las Vegas. That’s one of my dreams, too. I just want to get a boutique hotel or something like that.” Sounds like a sure bet to us. And in today’s economy, that’s really saying something.
