What’s On Welcomes Steve Wynn’s Newest Creation: ENCORE

Steve Wynn has always been a man with impeccable taste. His latest offering continues the evolution of resort concept and design that began with The Golden Nugget. Below are some highlights of what guests and visitors of Encore will experience:

According to Roger Thomas, executive vice president of design for Wynn Design and Development, the butterflies decorating the carpets represent abundance and good luck in many cultures. They also transform into something “miraculous,” he said, which is the kind of experience both he and Wynn want all guests to have.

Encore houses the only store in the world to carry the Roger Thomas Collection of furniture and furnishings.

The floors at Encore are a mix of Italian spider marble and ½-inch-thick glass tiles from Ravenna, Italy. The red glass chandeliers over the gaming areas are from Murano, Italy.

The Wynn Diamond, on display inside the world’s only branded Rolex store, is the largest pear-cut diamond in the world at 231 carats.

The European style pool features two floors of cabanas, along with canopied day beds and tanning beds resting in the shallow end.

Renowned Colombian painter and sculptor Fernando Botero has several pieces on display in his namesake restaurant.
