First Friday gets an update
What has grown into the largest arts and culture festival in Sin City, First Friday is introducing some new technology and celebrating that we’re “Free To Be!” tonight with a new phone app created by Tabesco.
If you plan to come to town for the art and music fête, check out the Welcome Tent (located near Casino Center Drive and Charleston Boulevard) to get a lesson and navigation tips for a brand new digital program guide for your phone. The app gives information on artists, musicians, food trucks and more.
Aside from art, First Friday also offers some sound advice for patrons. The Art of Law will be offering free seminars on basic legal issues inside their tent located on the corner of Casino Center and California Ave. Through the end of the month, bring documents that need to be notarized, along with a photocopy of your valid, picture ID and finally get that errand taken care of! They are offering the service free of charge.
Got kids? Here’s a treat. Check out the KidZone from 5-9 p.m. Presented by Disney Fine Art, the KidZone will feature art lessons by animators responsible for some of pop culture’s most beloved cartoon characters. World-class animators from Disney Fine Art will be on-hand to provide pointers to little artists-to-be. Kids will also get their own science class from Mad Science of Las Vegas this month.
Shuttle service for the event will run from 4:30-11:30 p.m. and there will be ample free parking as well as $5 parking lots.
