How Many Margaritas Will You Need?

That’s the question we posed to What’s On’s resident daredevil Travis when we challenged him to eat a plate of habanero hot wings with cilantro ranch sauce at T&T inside Luxor. The ultra spicy morsels are perfect for noshing on while watching a game at the bar with your pals—maybe dare your friends to down a plate at halftime—then cool the burn with a pair of T&T’s margaritas.

The Music Speaks

One of the rare bands in the music industry that had a taste of big label business and decided to return to their indie roots, Eastern Conference Champions (ECC, for short) still can’t seem to avoid large-scale notice. Earlier this year, the band’s song “A Million Miles an Hour” appeared on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack, launching the group back into the limelight they’d briefly vacated after the success of their freshman release The Southampton Collective EP on Geffen/Suretone Records, which the band decided to part ways with.

Hit The Jackpot

When you hear the name Casino Royale, an image of James Bond probably pops into your head. And while Agent 007 is always dealing with high-stakes scenarios, at Las Vegas’ Casino Royale & Hotel, located between Harrah’s and The Venetian, benefits like free slot play and 100x odds on craps make gambling a sure bet.

Inside Casino Royale you’ll find more than 500 slot machines, such as MegaBucks, Wheel of Fortune, Wizard of Oz, The Amazing Race and Reel ‘em In, video poker and table games that include single deck 21, craps, roulette, blackjack switch (where a player is dealt two hands and is allowed to swap the top two cards between hands) and Texas Hold’em.

Summer Refreshment

Devoted to a wellness lifestyle, Canyon Ranch SpaClub at The Palazzo/The Venetian  is a luxurious, spacious, destination spa with treatments that pamper you from head to toe and amenities that invigorate the body and mind. Through Aug. 31, Canyon Ranch is offering the following specialty treatments that rejuvenate skin, making it ready for poolside relaxation and hanging out on the Strip.

All That Glitters

Odds are you’ve heard of, and maybe even read, one of the most famous literary depictions of Sin City around, “Gonzo” journalist Hunter S. Thompson’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (the inspiration for the 1998 film of the same name, starring Johnny Depp and Benecio del Toro). And while that semi-autobiographical tale of surreal, psychedelic events that unfold during a trip made by journalist Raoul Duke and his attorney is perhaps the most well-known work about the underbelly of the neon city of light, it certainly isn’t the only one worth checking out.

Unholy Matrimony

Do you ever get the feeling when you’re sitting in a room full of strangers that one of them, maybe even the person sitting right next to you, might be a murderer? At Marriage Can Be Murder, the interactive, mystery comedy dinner theater at Fitzgeralds downtown, someone in the room is a cold-blooded killer!

As you casually sit at your communal table with your pre-show salad, make small talk with your fellow diners, checking them out for questionable behavior. That sweet little old lady across from you who claims she’s from Des Moines? She might not be who she says she is.

Beach Bali

It’s no wonder celebrities flock to Tao Beach. The adults-only pool at The Venetian features 12 luxury cabanas and a wealth of chaise lounges and daybeds clad in deep oranges and reds surrounded by peaceful Buddha statues and lush foliage, including 40-foot-tall bamboo trees. Sun worshippers can lay out to catch some rays, groove to DJ provided beats, mingle among the bronzed bodies, take a dip in Tao’s central pool or relax in the the whirlpool tucked away in a shaded corner.
